Sean O'Hayre

President

Sean was appointed President for IML in March of 2023.  Sean brings with him over 20 years of professional management experience with companies such as Aramark, NELS Corp. and PureStar. Sean is a highly experienced and accomplished leader, with a proven track record of driving growth and operational success.

With a major focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences, Sean has implemented innovative strategies with these companies that enhanced efficiency, quality, profitability, and overall employee engagement.  Sean’s ability to build strong relationships with clients, employees and stakeholders greatly contributed to these companies’ overall success.

Sean has a passion for, and is best known for his exceptional leadership skills, inspiring teams to achieve excellence and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Sean has a keen understanding of market dynamics and customer needs, enabling him to develop and execute effective strategies that drive long-term success. 

With his proven track record of success, Sean is well-equipped to lead IML as President, and will leverage his team’s expertise to propel the company to new heights, ensuring exceptional service, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth.

In his spare time Sean enjoys spending time with his family.  Sean and his wife Kristen have two children Jack and Cassidy.

Richard DeFilippo

Vice President of Operations

Richard “Rich” DeFilippo grew up on Long Island and graduated from the State University of New York at Farmingdale with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and an Associates of Science in Automotive Engineering. He has also completed several professional courses from both Cleveland College and Northwestern University in the areas of Sales and Professional Management Training.

For the past 25 years, his career has centered in the distribution/management segment. Most recently, Rich worked in the Electrical Distribution industry for GEXPRO (REXEL USA, Inc.) with both sales and operations responsibility, covering NYC to Montauk. Prior to this, Rich spent 19 years in the automotive aftermarket industry for Transtar Industries, where he held several key positions, most notably Regional Manager Northeast. Rich had full P&L responsibility for 9 business units from New Hampshire to Washington DC.

Rich has a strong background in business administration, operations, and sales management. Rich brings a proven track record of building competent successful teams, while challenging and developing his employees.

He currently lives in New York with his wife Elizabeth, his son Andrew, and his daughter Ella. Rich enjoys golf, all outdoor activities, and is an avid hockey fan.

Kerem Altan

District Manager

Kerem is a highly dedicated and astute security professional who has made significant contributions to the industry. In 2009, he joined IML Security and has played a pivotal role in shaping the company into what it has become today.

Before embarking on his journey with IML Security, Kerem gained valuable experience working at JP Morgan Chase as a Project Analyst. During this time, he developed expertise in project management and analysis, showcasing his strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Following this, Kerem transitioned into the role of Mortgage Banker, further expanding his knowledge in the financial sector.

Kerem’s educational background includes a degree in Business Management with a concentration in Finance from SUNY Buffalo. This comprehensive education provided him with a strong foundation in key financial principles and strategies.

With his extensive industry experience and advanced skill set, Kerem continues to be an invaluable asset to IML Security. He consistently demonstrates his commitment to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions, ensuring continued execution for IML Security.

Will Nunez

Director Design and Construction

William Nunez is a highly experienced professional in the field of design and construction, with an impressive 20-year track record. His journey began in 2004 when he joined a leading storefront company in the Bronx, New York, where he honed his skills as an estimator. During this time, William immersed himself in the storefront and glass industry, understanding the importance of delivering exceptional results through thoughtful design and execution.

William studied at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, where he excelled among his peers. At Pratt, William focused on Architecture, Construction Representation, and Cad Design, further enhancing his expertise.

Today, William serves as the Director of Design and Construction for IML Security, a testament to his vast knowledge and experience. Over the past 16 years with IML, he has garnered a reputation as the go-to expert for both current and new clients, covering a wide range of services including access control, bullet-resistant products, and innovative designs for new construction and storefront renovations. William’s comprehensive skill set and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to the IML team.

Ashley Spetta

Business Development Representative

Ashley Spetta is an accomplished business development professional with extensive experience in the security, fire, and monitoring services industry. In her role as Business Development Representative at IML Security, she leverages her proven track record of acquiring high-value B2B accounts and driving strategic revenue growth. Ashley’s expertise in building strong client relationships, developing impactful marketing strategies, and staying at the forefront of industry advancements makes her a valuable addition to the IML Security team.

Matt Kostik

Senior Project Manager

Matt brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the Construction and Glass Industry. His extensive industry and institutional knowledge allows him to provide detailed insights into every aspect of every project. As Senior Project Manager, Matt oversees and manages project requirements for key client accounts, from bid specifications to blueprints to project completion.

Peter Hash

District Manager

Peter Hash is a seasoned customer service professional team leader with over 25 years of experience in service, sales, and service leadership. His journey began at CINTAS in Boston, MA, where he honed his skills through a rigorous service training programs.

Over the years, Peter expanded his expertise at Image First, where he built strong partnerships with clients by delivering tailored solutions while maintaining the highest standards of sales and service. Over the last 15 years Peters natural progression into leadership culminated in a prominent role as Service Director for the North East, during which he refined his skills in sales, customer service excellence and team building.

As District Manager at IML, Peter oversees a team of route-based locksmiths and field technicians, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. His responsibilities include project management, team mentorship, and driving business growth within the security and glass industries.

Roman Brodskiy

Analyst 

Roman joined the Island Master Locksmith (IML) Team in September 2023, bringing with him a robust background in accounting, finance, and analytics. With a strategic mindset and keen business acumen, he specializes in process development and data-driven decision-making that drives success.

With extensive experience in software system development, project management and migration, Roman focuses to enhance efficiency and productivity through technology. His commitment to optimizing processes enables him to deliver valuable insights that support sustainable business growth.

Outside of work, Roman resides in New York with his wife and two children, where he enjoys spending quality time with family and exploring the vibrant city life.
